Robin Thirdfloor & Dejot release 21 Days,a single ahead of their collaborative project Ukuvaleka which is coming out this year. Robin Thirdfloor & Dejot who have been supported by Prohelvetia Johannesburg-The Swiss Arts Council, spent the whole of 2023 working on Ukuvaleka. Ukuvaleka is a music project that sees Robin reflect on the events that came with the lockdown.

The lead single 21 Days takes its name from the initial 21-day lockdown period proposed in South Africa. Within this track, Robin reflects on how, initially, the South African people welcomed the lockdown as a break from work and school. However, the mood gradually turned somber as the lockdown period extended and news of people losing their lives began to surface. He then narrates the growing fear among the populace as new regulations such as mask-wearing, permits and curfews were introduced. While addressing this serious topic, Robin skillfully maintains a light-hearted tone, highlighting the illegal sales of banned items like alcohol and cigarettes. This storytelling, set against the backdrop of a kwaito- inspired electronic instrumental, could easily find its way onto a club dancefloor.
