"Imali Iyaphela," translates to "The money is running out" in English, delves into the challenges he faced when his finances began to dwindle during the pandemic. Being a musician, a significant portion of his income stems from live performances. However, with everyone confined indoors and venues closed, it seemed like a long while before he, along with fellow musicians, could earn money from live shows again. These difficulties manifested in the form of struggling to cover basic needs, providing for his family and the ability to play a role in his relationship with his partner at the time.

The chorus echoes questions Robin asked myself during the pandemic but interesting enough these questions are relevant to the current times in South Africa years after the pandemic.
